Dance a Day or a Week with Artists’ Play!

Artists’ Play provides fun and high energy dance classes in the classroom. We Bring Dance to you! Arrange of styles to choose from our main goal is to inspire and encourage children and teachers to dance!

Customized dance workshops to meet the needs of you and your students. Offering ballet, jazz, theatre, hip hop and more our classes foster creativity and movement with pure enjoyment!

Workshops are available for ages 3 and up.

Improvisation and theatrical components are introduced to the students through a fun and creative dance class.

Classes we offer: All classes are tailored to suit the age of the child.

Creative Movement – ages 3 to 4 and 5 to 6:

Exploring basic dance techniques through imaginative journeys and movement games children are lead through a series of warm ups and movements which motivate physicality and encourage creativity. Students are then encouraged to create their own dance through what they have been taught.

Ballet/Contemporary Jazz – ages 6 to 9 or 10 to 14:

These classes include movement games with more focus on the basic techniques of Ballet or Jazz. Students are lead through a series of warm up sequences to ensure the body is ready to dance. In a basic ballet class students will also learn grace and flow of movement with a few steps they can practice on their own. In Jazz class students will also learn ways of moving with precision and how to put combinations together. Students learn fun combinations which they will perform for each other and they can take with them.

Hip Hop – ages 6 to 9 or 10 to 14

An upbeat and popular class, students will be lead through a series of warm up exercises to ensure they are ready to dance. Short combinations are lead to introduce steps and rhythms which then are used in a larger dance which students are then encouraged to perform for each other.

Dance Theatre: Story Telling Through Dance – ages 6 to 9 or 10 to 12

This customized dance class consists of a mix of creative dance, hip hop and jazz. Students will learn to express themselves and tell basic stories through movement, facial expressions and overall performance.
