Providing dance classes to the Leslieville, Riverdale and Riverside communities since 2003 . Artists’ Play school of dance focuses on proper dance technique as well as the importance of fostering creativity. All Instructors have been trained professionally and are active dance professionals in Toronto. With two main performances per year, children gain valuable performance and life skills. Through weekly classes they learn about healthy body images, leadership qualities, the ability to take direction, teamwork and respect for themselves and their peers.
Artists’ Play is also proud to have a repertoire of dynamic performance projects under the direction of Elizabeth Dawn Snell. (see company for more info)
Offering professional dance lessons in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and creative movement. Artistic Director, Elizabeth Dawn Snell makes it her mandate to introduce the performance and creative aspects to all classes at every age! At Artists’ Play children are respected as creative beings and are taught in a joyful atmosphere in order to work towards technical excellence.

Please note: registration deadline is to secure a spot in class as we limit class sizes to ensure quality training.
Classes are subject to change due to registration. If classes are full, another class may be added, your child will be put on a waiting list and we will start to develop another time for an added class.

Please note although we do not enforce a dress code, proper dance wear and footwear is very important for the dancer. They should be comfortable in their dance clothes and shoes so they can focus on dancing.
Creative Movement: Bodysuit and skirt. Ballet shoes are optional.
Rock Girlz and Dance Play: Leggings and Bodysuit or t-shirt – bare feet
Mighty Moves: loose fitting clothing – bare feet
Ballet: Bodysuit, tights, ballet shoes (leather or canvas)
Hair in bun or back neatly if short
Jazz: stretchy pants or shorts, tank top or stretchy t-shirt, jazz shoes
Hair in ponytail or back neatly
Hip Hop and All Boyz: loose clothing and INDOOR shoes
Tap: Bodysuit, tights, shorts or skirt and Tap shoes
