Artists’ Play Dance has been teaching dance to the Riverdale/Leslieville are for over the past 12 years. We take pride in teaching high quality dance classes that are fun! As the genre of Hip-Hop becomes more diverse so do our classes. This year, we are adding 2 new classes of Hip-Hop 3.
1) Hip-Hop 3 : Breakdancing (8 to 10 yrs) on Mondays at 6:30pm to 7:30pm w/ Jason Cozmic Yorke. This will allow our younger students to get a more in-depth training in the techniques of breakdancing. Cozmic has been a great addition to our our team and we are happy to have him back!
2) Hip-Hop 3: Groove Class (8 to 10 yrs) on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm w/ Caitlin Thrasher. We are excited to have Caitlin Thrasher teach this class as she has been part of Artists’ Play Faculty for the past 3 years. Your child will have fun dancing to popular Hip-Hop songs and learn fun and age appropriate moves just like the dance videos!
We are happy to help your child find the class most suitable for them. Both are fun and if its a matter of timing and you are already enrolled in Monday then we are all set!

12 young dancers make up the junior and senior companies set to perform pieces which have been created for them by professional choreographers. This years choreographers are Caroline Nicolas-Gordan, Lucy Rupert, Allen Keaja and Stephen Findlay. These companies have been developed by Elizabeth Dawn Snell specifically to challenge Artists’ Play’s serious students and to expose them to different styles of choreography. These young dancers have incredible opportunities to work with respected and well known local and international choreographers.
We will be showcasing solos by these and other students who will be dancing at the Kiwanis Festival in April.
