The Reservation

the Reservation

Choreography by: Elizabeth Dawn Snell
Original Music by: Jason Vanstone w/ Mike Brisbin

"Going out for dinner will never
be the same again!"

Diners with their own special idiosyncrasies are put through a gamut of encounters, when they enter a surreal world of dancing waiters and traveling coat racks. Discovering that the chairs have no seats propels the diners into play and wonderment.

Premiere at the 2008 Toronto Fringe Festival

Original Music by: Jason Vanstone

Tender moments of contemporary dance, furious
rages of misunderstanding, the intensity of the
electric guitar and sensual passions of the tango will
take you deep into their consciousness.

"HeartSurge"

HeartSurge

Choreography by: Elizabeth Dawn Snell
Original Music by: Al Bee

“HeartSurge” is a story of struggle, loss and revitalization. It is an intimate journey of pain and hope through emotional and physical battles. The dancers represent the struggle and recovery of individual characters as well as the mechanics of the valve itself.
The core of the story has three phases - the descent into illness, the surgery, and finally the recovery.

"... through the metaphor of lyrical, emotional movement... [Elizabeth Dawn Snell's site-specific HeartSurge] made a strong impact."- Paula Citron, The Globe and Mail

Premiere at the 2006 Toronto International Dance Festival
